Mr + Mrs Rust and their family wedding delight

Mr + Mrs Rust and their family wedding delight

Labour weekend saw the wedding of Cholena and Alex! These two had the most stylish and relaxed backyard family wedding which saw them truly celebrate their families blending.  The central thing they asked for was photos of the people who were there, those people who made their lives special.  That and photos in the bush and on a train track (that was definitely a nod to Alex being a train driver). The days highlights included their children’s happy tears and tight hugs, Cholena’s 8 day old squishy new nephew and his amazing parents being involved all day, the children and adults playing and dancing together and the continuous sounds of laughter that were heard everywhere. It honestly felt like a cross between a festival, a giant picnic, and one massive family party (with some seriously gorgeous people). It was so much fun to be a part of and so special to witness your day that was uniquely you, we just love it when couples don’t bow to tradition but instead craft a day that fits them as a couple, which is exactly what these two down to earth, relaxed and awesome individuals did. We hope you guys enjoy seeing a wee look into how we saw your wonderful day! Congratulations Mr and Mrs Rust!!!!

Mr + Mrs Tse and their Gorgeous Raglan wedding

Mr + Mrs Tse and their Gorgeous Raglan wedding

The newly established Mr + Mrs Tse were a perfect beginning to our wedding season, we have known (and loved!) Grace for years and so to document this incredibly special day was a real honour. Grace, Stan, his family, and a big portion of their friends flew over from Sydney for the Raglan wedding. They got married with a beautiful ceremony that truly gave glory to God which was such a reflection on who each of them is individually as well as as a couple. Grace and Stan followed their ceremony by an afternoon tea reception in the hall, which was filled with lots of laughter, good speeches and delicious food (and cake!) Once they had said their goodbyes we went on a bit of adventure with the bridal party in search of bush, beach and some epic vistas for photos, which, being a raglan wedding did not disappoint!  Finishing up back in Hamilton for the Tse family dinner we also managed to get some sneaky sunset photos on a school field! The family dinner was intimate and crowded, moving and hilarious and a genuinely wonderful celebration of these two. Grace and Stan we so loved spending the day with you both and pray God’s blessing on your life together!

Mr + Mrs Meeske: A perfect winter wedding at Abbeville Estate

Mr + Mrs Meeske: A perfect winter wedding at Abbeville Estate

Oh man! This blog is a long one but boy is it a goodie, there were so many beautiful moments in this LAST wedding for us (well until spring anyway). Nathan and Jaime are the absolute embodiment of delight, they are unbelievably in love and were so excited to finally be getting married. The day started with horizontal wind and rain, and yet when we walked out of the ceremony, God had blessed us with sunshine! Despite the clear skies it was windy and bitterly cold, which kept the girls, with their heels, light dresses and flowy hair pretty busy trying to stay warm, upright and seeing straight!  Despite this, Nathan, Jaime and their awesome crew were absolutely buzzing and were the biggest joy to be around. The reception was pure celebration, everyone present was just so, so happy about this wedding! Nathan and Jaime are BOTH pastors kids and so we were expecting some pretty awesome speeches and they didn’t disappoint! Both sets of parents spoke beautiful words of truth, encouragement and blessing over these two.  Nathan and Jaime finished their evening with dancing in the barn which was so much fun and increasingly hilarious! Mr + Mrs Meeske, you are so beautifully fitted together and have such an exciting future ahead of you. We cannot wait to see what God does with you guys in the years to come, thank you so much for having us as part if your day!

Melissa + Simon. The new Wadsworth’s Winter wedding at Woodside estate

Melissa + Simon. The new Wadsworth’s Winter wedding at Woodside estate

Simon and Melissa got married at Woodside estate on Sunday of Queens Birthday weekend, which meant that everyone was super relaxed and already in celebration mode! These two are the sweetest couple with some truly great friends and family. They worked their timing perfectly with a first look down by the water which was so special and they were just so happy to be together. The sweet touching moment halted so Melissa could show Simon her veil- all 3 metres of it! Their bridal party joined them and we had a wonderful time strolling around the gorgeous property of Woodside and they followed this with a gorgeous ceremony.  The one thing Melissa and Simon wanted was photos on the train tracks and we were lucky enough to sneak off with just them and get an incredible sunset in at the same time! They finished their wedding with amazing food, good speeches, a beautiful first dance and sparklers! SUCH a great day, congratulations guys!!!

Mr + Mrs Keith and their Loved up Hamilton wedding

Mr + Mrs Keith and their Loved up Hamilton wedding

Ben and Cat were the lucky last from an insanely cool season of weddings for us! It was extra special for us as we actually met these two in our ante-natal group a couple years back. These two had the most beautiful day that fitted so perfectly in with their deep and devoted love. They got married at one of Hamiltons local goodies, Windy Ridge with a garden ceremony and live dove release. They could not stop smiling and staring at one another! We snuck away for some photos with their awesome bridal party and epic cars! The reception not only had some delicious food and epic speeches but one of the most beautiful fairytale moments where Ben spoke about his love, not only for Cat and their son Blake, but also for Cats daughter Chloe who also gave a beautiful speech to her new dad! The evening finished with some hilarious games, a bouquet toss and a quick dress-change for Cat so she could get into some dancing! Mr and Mrs Keith, we were genuinely honours to be involved in your day, you have amazing friends and family and we had SO much fun with you all!

Mr + Mrs Macaulay perfect Waikato Autumn wedding

Mr + Mrs Macaulay perfect Waikato Autumn wedding

We were stoked to be able to join Jo and Jamie in the most perfect Waikato Autumn Wedding. Jo was so incredibly, beautifully, perfectly bridal, when Jamie saw her his audible response was one of sheer amazement. These two LAUGHED all day, amongst the kisses that is. They and their faves laughed so much and the genuine joy they shared with Jo and Jamie was so beautiful. Married at Waikato’s gorgeous Red Barn, we made use of their iconic driveway and boulders for some photos as well as catching one of the famous Red Barn sunsets. It was after this we ducked down to Lake Karapiro for a few minutes by the water before their dinner and party really kicked off. Mr and Mrs Macaulay, your list of those who wanted to speak at your wedding (you had great speeches by the way!!), pays tribute to the kind of awesome you guys are. Individually you’re pretty great but together you are so perfectly suited and so wonderfully complementary,  you make a really fantastic team. We wish you every ounce of happiness.
