Mr + Mrs Dyer and their incredible Kaitaia wedding

Mr + Mrs Dyer and their incredible Kaitaia wedding

The wedding of Rhiannon and Nate has been one we have been looking forward to for a while now, set in beautiful Northland, this was such a celebration of two humans who are, as their bridal party put it, on their own frequency. It was made more special by the fact Rhiannon was a bridesmaid at a wedding from last summer, so it was just wonderful to see her again, and this time as the bride! Mr and Mrs Dyer have been together since their teens and now over a decade later are making their love of each other as official as it gets. The girls got ready in Ahipara looking out over the stunning 90-mile beach, while the groomsmen were set in the hills near the venue. These two had a rural, intimate ceremony both short and sweet with one of their own groomsmen as celebrant. We headed off for some bridal party photos in the afternoon at a family friends incredible garden which was such a hilarious time! This was a relatively big bridal party with some awesome, big personalities, which made for SO much fun, laughter and confusion in the best way! Thank goodness for snacks, drinks and shorts! We had a few minutes at the end of the time with just Rhiannon and Nate and their evident adoration of each other was absolute magic. One of the highlights of the reception was the speeches and especially the dads, who both nailed heartfelt and humour.  We cannot express how much we loved being a part of this wedding, Thank you and enjoy seeing your day through our eyes!

Mr + Mrs Hayes and their wonderful Waikato wedding

Mr + Mrs Hayes and their wonderful Waikato wedding

Megan and Glen had one of the most amazing Waikato wedding, with so many thoughtful little details, these two beautifully in love souls had hand-made nearly everything! Megan has the most incredible gift for design and details and knew what she was wanting to accomplish with her wedding which she pulled off marvellously!  These two had a progressive wedding with three different locations as part of their day.  They started their day with a first look way out on a farm in Te Miro which honestly had one of the most beautiful vistas I have ever seen, First looks are one of my favourite traditions at the moment and for these two it was certainly a beautiful half an hour with so much laughter and awe at how well they scrubbed up! They then moved to the beautiful Woodside Estate on the outskirts of Hamilton for photo’s and ceremony in the lush gardens, Glen’s darling daughter Emily came early for some photo’s too and what a delight she was, it was so special to see how she was obviously overjoyed about her blended family and “My Megan” marrying her Dad. Having had most of their bridal shoot before the wedding ceremony Megan and Glen had a relaxed and fun afternoon with their guests before the final move into downtown Hamilton where they held their reception at the Atrium in Wintec. All the details as part of the reception were lovingly created by Megan (and Glen too) and their team of supporters. We were amazed! They finished their evening with good food, great speeches and lots of laughing! Congratulations guys!!!

Mr + Mrs Massey’s dreamy Valentines day Waihi wedding

Mr + Mrs Massey’s dreamy Valentines day Waihi wedding

What a happy tenth anniversary and Valentine’s day it was for James and Megan this year! James, Megan and their little darling, Zoey were the sweetest and most totally in love family and it was such a privilege to join them on this truly epic day. Despite things not all going quite to plan in the lead-up, they were unphased and spent the day laughing and genuinely having fun.  They had a touching ceremony, which divulged into fits of laughter as wee 3-year-old Zoey decided to serenade us on the microphone, followed by canapes, drinks and an epic adult bouncy castle. When we headed to the beach for some photos, we discovered that not only was Megan the most glamorous bride ever, but she was up for literally anything, jumping off trees, swinging on tyre swings, walking through wet sand, you name it! So much so that she had her dress hosed off (twice!) when we got back to the Waterlily Gardens. The reception was such a great testament to Megan and James and their amazing families. The night would not have been complete however without little Zoey doing some more singing, which EVERYONE joined in for, I have never had a full wedding reception of people singing A,B,C or Baby shark, but it definitely worked in this instance!

We had SO much fun at this wedding and came away absolutely buzzing about these two. The biggest and warmest congratulations to you both, thank you so much for having us along!

Mr + Mrs Picknell and their dreamy summer Waikato wedding

Mr + Mrs Picknell and their dreamy summer Waikato wedding

Hot summer sun, a gorgeous princess bride who literally never stops smiling, a handsome groom who is so in love and the most heartfelt vows ever! This Waikato wedding was honestly so good. Nick and Rebecca were married at Narrows Landing and had everyone (including us and their celebrant Rhiannon) struggling not to cry with the depth of their emotion. They cruised (and laughed) through their afternoon with a relaxed photoshoot before entering into one of the most exquisitely floral-decorated receptions I have ever seen. Their evening consisted of excellent food, speeches and dancing, including a wicked dancing Oma who was the life of the party, before finishing off with a series of pyrotechnic displays put on by Rebeccas parents who just happen to have a Pyrotechnic business. We came home absolutely buzzing and are so glad that we got to be part of something so special for two pretty amazing people! Guys, THANK YOU so much for having us there and we hope you love seeing your day through our eyes.

Ash + Nick: Sunset and Mountains, a Windy Ridge Wedding

Ash + Nick: Sunset and Mountains, a Windy Ridge Wedding

Last weekend Ash and Nick said “I do” at the beautiful Windy Ridge in Ohaupo. It was a hot perfect day with the most relaxed bride! There were a few things Ash and Nick had asked for when it came to their photos; photos with the mountainous Pirongia backdrop, photos with their beloved dog and sunset photos! And thank goodness we were able to tick all three things off the list! Ash and Nick focused on the people they had invited and spent their time engaging with the family and friends over a gorgeous family-style- banquet dinner. There were some pretty special speeches (go the dads!) and then these two finished their evening off with a KILLER first dance!  It was such a special day to be a part of for us and a whole lot of fun! Enjoy having a look through their day!
